Focus4Hope is a non-profit providing support for the homeless, elderly, and isolated in West Yorkshire.
Focus4Hope were founded in 2016 as a community-based group of friends, seeking ways of collectively making a difference in the region. From these small beginnings, our organisation has gone on to become an incredibly active participant in the local charitable community. Focus4Hope have had the great pleasure of helping thousands of vulnerable people in our area, as well as refugees in France. Here in our local region Focus4Hope predominantly work with the elderly, the homeless, and isolated/lonely individuals in need of support.
Focus4Hope also feed the homeless every fortnight in Leeds. Focus4Hope provide hot and hearty home cooked meals, drinks, and cakes to 80-100 homeless individuals during each event. Focus4Hope also give out food parcels, clothing items, and hygiene packs. These kinds of items help us extend the impact of our support far beyond the few hours Focus4Hope are able to interact with them face-to face.
Focus4Hope are proud to have been part of writing the Leeds Homelessness Charter. The charter contains foundational core missions and action steps to fight homelessness in the area. The group of participating charities and organisations use the charter as a core influence for their work, and it ensures that there is constant available support for the homeless in Leeds.
Another project that is deeply important to us is aiding refugees. Focus4Hope collect donations to help those who have settled here in the UK, and send donations to places abroad where there is a growing need. Additionally, Focus4Hope volunteer two to three times a year with Care4Calais in Calais, France, where Focus4Hope deliver a van full of donations. Once there, Focus4Hope assist in preparing food for 2500 refugees, and also support our partner Town Hall Dental in their work to provide much-needed dental care to the refugee camp.
