After the fire on 4 July 2018 Crompton Mouldings implemented their business continuity plan and within a few weeks the business was up, running and maintaining customers from temporary offices and warehouses in Brighouse. Crompton Mouldings negotiated contracts with a number of moulding companies to buy space on their machines and to use our labour and tools to fulfil customer orders.
In February 2019 Mouldings agreed a lease on Units 5&6 on the Rosemount Estate in Elland which now provides a total of 45,000 sq ft of manufacturing space and commenced installing a Polavinil moulding machine. This machine was installed on time and on budget and is now producing products for Crompton Mouldings Customers. A second machine was ordered from Caccia in Italy and this is currently being delivered and assembled. A third machine is budgeted for September. All in all this provides a massive capability to meet existing and new customer requirements.
The offices and meeting rooms have been completed and the company is rapidly moving back to the high performance levels it was achieving before the fire. The other group companies have helped with resources and with the sourcing of equipment and the team at Mouldings would like to thank you all for your support.
“ I would just like to thank everyone for their support particularly staff and customers without which we would not have been able to come through this difficult period with such an exciting future…” John Bradley (MD) commented.
